Happy November, everyone!
I’ve exciting news to share! Book 4 of Dead Generations is complete and will be released in January, so I’m thrilled about that. I’ve also completed the first draft of my very first standalone novel, When I Lost You. It’s a second chance, friends to lovers and an actual HEA. I’m excited to share it, and will post more about it in the future.
I also have a short story for my publisher’s (JMS Books) advent calendar that will be released in December. It’s centered on a Christmas art heist featuring two bickering ex-boyfriends, and has plenty of action, heat and snark. I really love it, and it was a fun departure from Book 4, which I’ll admit was slowly killing my will to live. But yeah, I have a lot of plans and a lot of projects, and I’m looking forward to sharing them with the world.
Speaking of plans, I’ve been terrible about updating this blog. But I’m planning on changing that going forward. I have a lot of plans for the rest of the year, and into the next, including getting my newsletter up and running, and updating my FB group more frequently.
Back to book 4 though, this book was a rough one. After doing a great deal of research for the first three books, the fourth was a lot more ambitious than I expected. I spent many months just trying to get the details right and hopefully the payoff was worth it.
Book 4 is a slight departure from my last three. It’s still a Dead Generations novel, but the world has expanded. The stakes are even higher, which I hope is as fun for everyone else as it is for me. Also, funny enough, the more romantic the books get, the darker they get too. I don’t know what that says about me, but here we are, anyway. Hopefully, you’ll love reading it as much as I loved writing it.
If you want to see even more updates and exclusives regarding the series, join me on my Facebook Group, Anne Russo’s Dark Hearts. I plan to post more playlists, excerpts and art that are exclusive only to my group. I’m also open to any ideas for content you’d like to see, so feel free to get in touch. I love hearing from readers.
Going forward, I’ll be taking on some new projects with a few standalone novels and short stories. So keep your eyes open for those. I’ll be making more announcements regarding these projects in later months.
Well, that’s about all for now. I’ll keep this short and sweet. But thanks for stopping by, my dear friends.
Until next time!
